Six people in Plymouth Township reported a large triangular object that hovered overhead. While most UFOs are described as silent, one farm couple reported that as it passed overhead, it stopped and hovered, emitting a thunderous noise that made their entire house vibrate.

She had turned off the Highway and when about 90 minutes' ride from her home she heard an explosion.

Fresia Berlina Vega. uddenly a thunder clap-like noise was heard and a bright beam of light emerged from the object illuminating both witnesses. Fresia felt a cold wave envelope her body. The beam of light then retreated back into the object and another thunderclap was heard. The object then remained above the witnesses for a few more moments in which Fresia again felt a definite change of temperature, she felt as if her head seemed to swell up. In a moment she was looking directly at the object in a state of total relaxation. She felt a prickling sensation invade her entire body. Meanwhile Valentina felt the same presence and complained of a headache and discomfort in her nose, later she was to suffer from insomnia. While under the beam of light Fresia had the distinct impression that a photograph had been taken of her.

Witness described seeing odd lights, booming noises and in some instances a fireball in the sky over the Richmond area.
Initially, the disturbance was explained as part of a Russian rocket breaking up on reentry. Geoff Chester, public relations officer with the US Naval Observatory speculatied a Russian rocket (Soyuz spacecraft) breaking up on reentry. But on Tuesday, March 13, Stefan Bocchino of the USAF Joint Space Operations Center said in an e-mail to WTOP radio in Virgina that the bright light was not the result of a man made object. The Joint Space Operations Center tracks man made objects, in space they do not track natural objects such as meteorites.

Local citizens were awakened by a series of extremely loud explosions, soon after a traveler on I-20 took a picture of a strange disc-like object being transported near the area: .
