People have reported beams eminating from UFOs before the SDI program during the 1980s and now what are termed DEWs (Directed Energy Weapons) are being developed by the Pentagon. Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about the military-idustrial complex. Technology reported in UFOs is now being used for weapon systems.
SDI/ DEW Weapons:
NASA and the U.S. Air Force are slated to launch laser-propelled vehicles, dubbed "Light craft", in mid August. The series of tests will take place at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
Intellectual Ventures internally-developed inventions include a mosquito targeting laser based on Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) Star Wars technology.
EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., Dec. 01, 2008 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA], industry teammates and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency last week fired a high-energy laser through the Airborne Laser's (ABL) beam control/fire control system, completing the first ground test of the entire weapon system integrated aboard the aircraft.

Non-lethal/ Pain Ray/ Active Denial System:
My name is Alfred Lambremont Webre. I am a war crimes judge and futurist located in Vancouver Canada, In 1977, while a Futurist at Stanford Research Institute and Director of the proposed Carter White House Extraterrestrial Communication Study, I was targeted and attacked with Directed Energy Weapons while meeting with an Assistant Secretary of Defense at the Inner Ring of the Pentagon in Washington, DC, as detailed in my sworn affidavit to the Disclosure Project presented at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on May 9, 2001.

Renowned UFO researcher suffers repeated attacks by EM weapons Perhaps the nation’s leading UFO disclosure advocate, emergency physician Steven Greer, MD, founder and director of the Disclosure Project, revealed that he has frequently been a victim of electronic harassment by opponents in what he calls the “Shadow Government.” In his 2006 book, Hidden Truth–Forbidden Knowledge, he writes: “Every night at 4:20am, as I was sleeping in my bedroom at home, there would be an almost sub-audible click, and I would be hit by an electronic weapons system. I would become violently ill and so sick that would get up and be nauseated, vomiting, with diarrhea, diaphoretic. The bathroom would be literally soaked with sweat, because I had almost no blood pressure, and I would collapse on the floor of the bedroom, near death. This happened to me night after night, day after day. It was horrifying. It lasted for only 10 to 15 minutes.

"Boeing is considering the development of an upgraded weapons' system that will have a shoot-on-the-move capability and the ability to destroy other kinds of targets, including low-flying unmanned aerial vehicles."
The work on the HEL TD is intended to lead eventually to a truck-mounted laser weapon that could shoot down rockets and artillery shells.

Next Generation Cloaking Device Demonstrated
Metamaterial renders object "invisible"
The latest advance was made possible by the development of a new series of complex mathematical commands, known as algorithms, to guide the design and fabrication of exotic composite materials known as metamaterials. These materials can be engineered to have properties not easily found in natural materials, and can be used to form a variety of “cloaking” structures. These structures can guide electromagnetic waves around an object, only to have them emerge on the other side as if they had passed through an empty volume of space.
Scientists at the Defence Intelligence Staff (DIS) describe how glowing “plasmas” of gas are created by charges of electricity. Air flows then sculpt
the plasmas into aerodynamic shapes which appear to fly at extraordinary speeds through the sky.

USAF and NASA have expressed interest in the WEAV. The wingless electromagnetic air vehicle (WEAV).
Roy applied his experience doing U.S. Air Force-funded plasma research to develop the propulsion system devoid of typical aircraft parts such as propellers and engines. Here is how it works: Electrodes lining the vehicle’s surface ionize the surrounding air. This creates plasma on the vehicle’s exterior. An electrical current sent through this plasma generates a force that not only produces the necessary lift and momentum. It also stabilizes the vehicle in windy conditions.

Saucers Secret: Antigravity `Flying Saucers' 1967
A simple, portable magnetic field generator inside a spaceship should be sufficient to deflect the dangerous highly charged particles of the solar wind away from a spacecraft and the astronauts inside, according to research in Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion.

"A piece of antimatter the size of an aspirin could power a spacecraft over distances of hundreds of light years. The Moon could be minutes away and Mars a matter of days."
Researchers at NASA's Marshall Flight Centre are hoping that the technology will be ready in 30-40 years time. In the meantime, we have found a more practical application for antimatter in the world of medicine.

"Even if you think the Roswell incident is fantasy, there's still a chance you may see a flying saucer in the not-too-distant future. However, rather than carrying extra-terrestrials, saucers may transport you around the Earth or even to the Moon."
USAF and NASA have expressed interest in the WEAV.
